General Questions:
1. Are my donations tax deductible?
A: Yes, we are a non-profit humanitarian organization filed with the IRS as a 501(c)3 entity. We will email you your receipt as soon as you make a donation. You will also receive an end-of-year report of your donations for your tax purposes in January of the following year.

2. How can I donate goods to Congo Progress?
A: We have local members all across the United States. Please contact us directly and we will provide information as to how you can bring or send the items to us. Thank you!

3. Can I make a recurrent donation to the general fund?

A: Yes, when you click on the DONATE button, you can choose to donate a designated amount to the "GENERAL" fund.

"Love mtoto" Project:
1. How do I help a child through the "Love mtoto" project?
A: Click on the DONATE button on the "Love mtoto" page under the sub-heading "Children". When you click on the donate button, you can choose to donate a recurrent $10 to the "Mtoto" fund or one time gift of $110 to the "Mtoto" fund.


2. Can I send a message to my child in the DRC? in the US?
A: Yes, but we limit it to 100 words at a time if your child resides in Congo since all messages have to be translated to their language. If you like to send a video, you may add a video to their BLOG site. 


3. Can I send more money or materials directly to that child?
A: You are welcomed to choose another child but we do not encourage additional funding for one child. Gifts are difficult to reach via the remote paths to most villages. Computers and other electronic items carries expensive delivery charges.

4. How can I cancel my sponsorship?
A: Please email us and we will remove your sponsorship. You will receive an email from us stating that your sponsorship have been cancelled.

Nursing or Medical Scholarship program:
1. How do I provide scholarship to help a nursing or medical student in Congo?
A:
  • Click on the donate button on the "Love mtoto" page under the sub-heading "Health providers". 
  • We do ask that you are committed to 1 full year since most of these students will not be able to continue their studies without your help.
  • When you click on the donate button, you can choose to donate a recurrent $100/month to the "Students" fund for the nursing student or $125/month for the medical student.
  • OR you may choose to send a one time gift of $1,200 to the "Students" fund for the nursing student or $1,500 for the medical student.

2. Can I send a message to my scholar in the DRC? 
A: Yes, but we limit it to 100 words at a time since all messages have to be translated into Swahili. If you can write in Swahili, then there is no limitation.
